Adam Ryan Garcia, 40, of High Bridge, NJ, left this world on Thursday, March 28, 2024.
Born March 7, 1984, in Plainfield, NJ, Adam was the son of Thomas and Bonnie Garcia. He lived in New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Florida during the course of his life.
Adam was a 2001 graduate of Delaware Valley Regional High School.
Adam was a loving father, son, and brother. He found happiness in expressing himself through multiple art forms, primarily painting, blacksmithing, and cooking. His greatest joy was spending time with his daughter, Penélope, who was the light of his life.
Adam had the kindest heart and lived his life following wherever it took him. He took delight in sharing his art. He saw the world in a unique way and invited others into his mind through his paintings, often going off canvas to color the world around him. He also enjoyed fitness, wrestling around with friends and family, and making others laugh. He was his family's favorite DJ and loved bonding over music. Adam could frequently be found in the kitchen, eager to share his delicious culinary creations with others.
One of Adam's qualities that stood out the most was his courage. During his elementary years, Adam would often stand up for those who did not have the bravery to defend themselves. As a teenager, Adam once rescued a peer from drowning in the Delaware River. Adam fought for the spirit of the underdog and put his fears aside in order to uplift others. Adam was the most avid supporter of his loved ones, always choosing to see the best in them and taking great pride in their accomplishments.
He is survived by his beautiful daughter, Penélope Garcia Sarabia, his parents, Thomas and Bonnie Garcia, siblings, Stephen (Violet), Daniel, and Rachel, nieces, Kahli and Olivia, nephews Gabriel and Elliot, former wife, Ang Sarabia, stepson, Mauro, and a multitude of aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Visitation: Tuesday, April 2, 2024 from 4:00-5:30 pm, Noto-Wynkoop Funeral Home, 289 S. Main St, Phillipsburg, NJ. Prayer Services begin at 5:30 pm.
